There have been many high-level commitments to ensure people living with NCDs are meaningfully involved in decisions that affect their lives and health. See how this commitment has become a reality in Kenya in this blog by John Gikonyo, from the NCD Alliance Kenya.

With just two months until this year's Global Week for Action on NCDs, it's time to get prepared! We offer various resources and some ideas for NCD action! 

NCDA will co-host with the Healthy Latin American Coalition (CLAS) and Mexico Salud-Hable an Our Views, Our Voices Pan American regional meeting to explore opportunities and barriers related to meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs, alongside strategies and support needed to implement meaningful involvement in organisational practices.

People living with NCDs must be involved in decisions and actions that affect their lives and health. The NCD Alliance aims to promote this participation through a Global Charter on Meaningful Involvement, developed together with people living with NCDs.

The Global Charter is an advocacy tool to mobilise organisations, including governments, multilateral agencies, civil society and relevant private sector around a shared understanding of meaningful involvement of People Living with NCDs, committing to put people first, mainstream and embed involvement in organisational practices and recognising the value and contribution of the lived experience and strategies to implement it.
