  • Cities Can: accelerating progress towards the SDGs

    City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), The Geneva Cities Hub and UN-Habitat invites you to the second in a series of “Geneva Urban Debates” to launch the findings of a new report highlighting the role of cities in accelerating progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What makes these city-led initiatives successful? What are the key challenges, and how are cities and their counterparts in the health and development community working to address these bottlenecks? Speakers from across regions and sectors will reflect on these questions with a particular focus on quality data to inform solutions that respond to local needs, engaging the right stakeholders for “smarter” and more sustainable solutions, andsharing knowledge and skills to boost local capacity.

  • Uniting to End Cervical Cancer

    The Cervical Cancer Action for Elimination (CCAE) launched a new website for the global civil society network to support the implementation of the WHO’s Global Strategy towards the elimination of Cervical Cancer, focused on the HPV vaccination, screening and treatment of precancerous lesions, and treatment and palliative care for invasive cancers.
