This NCD Alliance virtual event brought together a panel of experts to discuss how social impact can provide a transformational lever to mobilise all sectors, including governments, policymakers, multi-lateral agencies, civil society, healthcare providers and relevant private sector entities, around their collective role for creating an enabling environment that truly ‘puts people first’ to achieve better health and economic outcomes. 

The dialogue was moderated by Sir Trevor Hassell, President of Healthy Caribbean Coalition, with a welcome address from Katie Dain, CEO of NCD Alliance and Dr. Bente Mikkelsen, Director of the NCD Department at WHO. Participants heard from a panel of experts including:

  • Courtney Roberts, Director of Global Health Philanthropic Partnerships, Eli Lilly and Company
  • Dr. Krishnamurthy Jayanna, Senior Technical Advisor, Karnataka Health Promotion Trust

  • Dr. Gina Agiostratidou, Program Director, Type 1 Diabetes, The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust
