NCDs account for 60% of deaths in India, with mounting sodial and economic costs. In response the Healthy India Alliance has formed to catalyse NCD prevention by providing a platform for health and non-health organisations to partner for collaborative civil society action on NCDs under the SDGs.
Sudden, unexpected deaths, especially among middle-aged men, are a growing problem in the Caribbean. Often this is due to undiagnosed and untreated high blood pressure.
